LEAF and the Town of Richmond Hill are thrilled to launch this self-guided tree tour, showcasing the native tree species located in the beautiful Lake Wilcox Park.

Truc-Lam Tran, an Urban Forest Champion!

Watch out world – this Urban Forest Champion is set to make an impact! Last year, I had the pleasure of working with Lam when she joined LEAF as a summer intern through the University of Toronto’s Environmental Studies program. On top of that, she was an outstanding member of our Young Urban Forest Leaders program. Truc-Lam (Lam) Tran is this month’s Urban Forest Champion!

Bees and wasps are familiar (and important) creatures that are a mainstay of the outdoor world. There is great diversity in this group of insects, but many of us are not familiar with what makes a bee a bee and a wasp a wasp.
