LEAF's Do-It-Yourself Planting Program is available to residents of northern York Region (East Gwillimbury, Georgina, King Township, Whitchurch-Stouffville). This program is supported by York Region and Ontario Power Generation.

Through the completion of an online workshop, LEAF will help you select the right tree for your yard and plant it strategically to beautify your yard and conserve energy.

Please note that LEAF will plant a maximum of five trees per household in York Region (subject to space availability and arborist's discretion).

If your property is larger than than 2 acres (0.8 hectares) and you are planning a larger naturalization/restoration project, you should visit the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority or Toronto and Region Conservation to find out about larger scale planting programs.

LEAF offers two options for you to get native trees and shrubs for your yard:

 

Available for pick-up fall 2013

Available for delivery fall 2013

  • Small trees (3 to 5 feet in height) $25-$35
    Shrubs - $20 
  • Fall 2013 pick-up:
    Date TBD and location TBD
  • Large trees (5 to 8 feet in height) $100-$150
    Shrubs - $25              
  • Prices include delivery and mulch
  • Minimum $100 order
  • Evergreens are 2 to 5 feet in height
  • Delivery takes place September-November

Prices are per item and do not include applicable taxes. All trees and shrubs are potted and come with mulch.

For deliveries, LEAF will contact you at least two days in advance to let you know what day we will deliver your items (you do not have to be home to receive delivery).
