Friends of the Urban Forest

Friends of the Urban Forest (FUF) is a San Francisco-based organization dedicated to maintenance and extension of the urban forest. Friends of the Urban Forest helps individuals and neighborhood groups plant and care for street trees and sidewalk gardens in San Francisco. This "green infrastructure" improves the city by beautifying neighborhoods, cleaning the air, raising property values and reducing polluted stormwater runoff. Since 1981, FUF has planted more than 47,000 trees, totaling 43% of San Francisco's street tree canopy.

Trees Forever

Trees Forever is an Iowa-based non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals and communities connect to the natural environment through the planting and care of trees, native plants, prairies and other natural areas. Trees Forever has engaged communities across Iowa and Illinois in over 4,000 planting projects involving 160,000 volunteers who have planted over 2.8 million trees.
