Schoolyard Consultation
Site consultations are carried out in in February/March for spring plantings, and in June or September for fall plantings. Summer site visits can also be arranged. You will need to be available for a one-hour period on a weekday. The contact person, as well as a representative from the grounds or maintenance department, should be present for the appointment. Think about where you would like the trees planted prior to the visit and prepare any questions you may have regarding the choice of species and location.
TDSB Schools Only
LEAF does not conduct consultations for TDSB Schools. The Toronto District School Board, in partnership with Evergreen, offers on-site technical advice and educational workshops and resources to help ensure that greening projects are successful. Toronto District School Board schools must visit the Eco-Schools section of the TDSB website and complete the Request for Design Consultation package. Fax the completed request to the TDSB EcoSchools department at (416) 394-7364. Qualified Board staff will visit your school and help you plan your planting site. Once your plans and approvals are in place, you can contact LEAF to order trees and shrubs for delivery.
During your site consultation we will
A. Assist you in selecting appropriate species and planting locations B. Provide you with a customized information package suited to your needs C. Request payment by cash, cheque or VISA (required before delivery) Please note that LEAF is a non-profit group. Unlike some commercial nurseries, we do not build the cost of a guarantee into our prices. Proper planting techniques and a follow-up maintenance plan will ensure good plant health. A $40 cancellation fee applies if less than 48 hours notice is provided for appointment changes. NEXT: Tree Planting and Delivery >>>
