Backyard Tree Planting Program
We are currently accepting applications for our Full-Service, Do-It-Yourself and Multi-Units and Businesses Programs. Shrubs are available for purchase.
We encourage you to submit your applications now so that you are in the queue. But please be aware that it may take us longer than normal to respond, as demand is high at this time.
Please note, we have modified procedures for in-person consultations to comply with physical distancing.

Backyard Biodiversity
This educational campaign continues through blogs and social media posts. Pop-up events will resume when it is safe to do so.
LEAF Learning Garden / Urban Forest Demonstration Gardens
Our Gardens are located on publicly accessible property. Visitors should follow all guidelines that apply to public areas in the City of Toronto.
Planting and Stewardship Events
Planting and stewardship activities resumed in Fall 2020. LEAF staff and volunteers will continue this work in Spring 2021 with comprehensive safety practices in place.
Project Swallowtail
This education campaign continues through blogs and social media posts. Residents within the project area are encouraged to create habitat for swallowtail butterflies.
TCHC Planting and Stewardship Initiative
This initiative continues with some modifications to engagement activities.
Tree Tenders Volunteer Training
This multi-day course is offered virtually.

Our tours are now virtual! We are accepting requests and will try our best to accommodate your group with virtual options.

This free training and mentorship program has been re-imagined as an engaging online experience.
Young Ravine Leaders
This free training program has been designed as an engaging, online program. Pending COVID-19, some in-person activities may be included.
