This event is supported by The Regional Municipality of York and the Town of Richmond Hill.

Our volunteers play a critical role in helping improve the urban forest. There are various ways in which you can get involved depending on your skills, interests, and availability. Please note that volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.

6:30pm - 7:30pm In the first hour, participants will get an introduction to the urban forest and to the programs LEAF offers. We’ll share info on a variety of volunteer roles such as tree planting leader, stewardship assistant, tree tour assistant, registration assistant, photographer, blog writer, and more.

7:30pm - 8:30pm In the second hour, additional training will be provided for participants interested in joining our community outreach team.  Members of this team attend community events across York Region, hosting a LEAF table and sharing information about the urban forest and our programs.
