Join us for a delightful afternoon of sketching native plants. Artist Alan Li will be your guide as you explore and record the diversity of spring flora growing in the LEAF Learning Garden. The sketching techniques covered will be of interest in aspiring artists and anyone who keeps a nature journal. All skill levels welcome. Participants must bring their own supplies.

Join us this fall for an inspirational session, exploring ways to portray the splendour of trees in the beautiful setting of High Park. Students will learn the methods used by artists for drawing realistic trees along with techniques in line work and shading to depict texture. Draw at your own pace and support and constructive feedback from our experienced instructor.

All skill levels are welcome. Participants must bring their own supplies.

Inspired by our Adopt-a-Street-Tree project in the Junction neighbourhood of Toronto, The Trees Amongst Us by Nicola Woods is a series of photographs mounted on metal leaf depicting the street trees throughout the seasons. The work will be on display at ARTiculations, Earl Selkirk Gallery from May 3 to 27, 2018 during the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival in Toronto.
