When we think of supporting native bees, we often think of planting flowering annuals and perennials. But trees and shrubs also flower, and they can produce hundreds of pollen laden flowers on just one plant!

So from June through October 2017, we're working in partnership with Ontario Power Generation to spread the biodiversity message that #BeesLoveTrees. Each week we’ll share buzz-worthy facts through social media and every month we’ll share a blog highlighting species that are just the bee’s knees!

Here's how you can get involved:

Follow @leaf to learn more and to share your bee-friendly garden photos using the hashtag #BeesLoveTrees. 'Bee' sure to tag us so we can share them too!
