Presentations
Our presentations are held indoors or virtually and are designed for adults interested in urban forests and tree-related topics. Each session is typically 60 minutes, including Q&A.
Presentation topics include:

Understanding the Urban Forest – provides an overview of:
- Environmental, social and economic benefits the urban forest provides
- Challenges facing our urban forests (climate change, biodiversity loss, etc.)
- Ways to support the growth and resiliency of the urban forest
- Tree Equity – unpack the urban forest through an equity lens and hear about strategies that seek to address the tree gap.
- Tree Selection, Planting and Care – learn to choose the right tree for the right place; prepare your site for a successful planting; and provide the essential care young trees need to thrive.

Presentation Fees
- In-person: $350.00 + HST
- Virtual (Host Group manages virtual platform): $250.00 + HST
- Virtual (LEAF manages virtual platform and delivers the presentation): $300.00 + HST

Tree Tours
Our tree tours offer hands-on opportunities to build tree identification skills while exploring the vital role trees play in supporting healthy, climate-resilient communities. Participants will learn fun facts about their local trees and practical tips on identifying them in their own neighbourhoods.
Tours are available as a 90-minute, in-person guided walk for a group of up to 35 people, or a virtual place-based PowerPoint presentation with no cap on attendance.

Tree Tour Fees
- In-person: $500.00 + HST
- Virtual (Host Group manages virtual platform): $450.00 + HST
- Virtual (LEAF to manage virtual platform and deliver the tree tour): $475.00 + HST

Request a Presentation or Tree Tour
Note: we require a minimum of six weeks to review and plan for a presentation or tree tour. Requests will be accepted based on availability and capacity. It may be possible to incorporate other content into an existing presentation or tour. If you have another topic you’re interested in, please let us know.
Self-Guided Tour
The Lake Wilcox Park Self-Guided Tree Tour was developed by LEAF in partnership with the City of Richmond Hill and funded by TD Friends of the Environment Fund.
People can walk through Lake Wilcox Park and enjoy learning about the native trees at their own pace. Download the map and follow the path using the tree markers available in the park.
