Tree Tours

Develop your tree ID skills on a guided walk through Downsview Park. Learn about the importance of native species and how to identify them.

This tour will be led by a group of youth who have been learning about the urban forest through our Young Urban Forest Leaders (YUFL) program! The YUFL program is a free training and mentorship program that seeks to support Toronto youth, with priority given to applicants from equity-deserving groups, including (but not limited to) newcomers, gender-marginalized, racialized and 2SLGBTQ+ individuals.

*Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and don’t forget your hat and water bottle!

Registration Required

The tour route will be along paved pathways, on grass, uneven soft ground and slopes. For accessibility questions, please contact Natasha Jovanovic at natasha@yourleaf.org.

The Young Urban Forest Leaders Program is funded in part by the City of Toronto's Urban Forest Grants and Incentives Program and the Ontario Trillium Foundation's Seed Grant. Thank you to Downsview Park for supporting this event.
