Come out and discover the beauty of Lake Wilcox Park! Lake Wilcox is the largest kettle lake in the Oak Ridges Moraine and is home to a variety of native wildlife and vegetation. Join us as we explore the history of Lake Wilcox through its native tree species.

 

Our expert instructors will discuss the benefits of trees and the challenges they face within an urban environment.  You’ll leave with a better understanding of the natural history of your community.

Join us for a guided tree tour through the Aurora Community Arboretum!

The tour will cover select areas within the Arboretum. Spanning over 100 acres of town parkland, the Arboretum includes wetland, meadow and naturalized forest areas and is home to a variety of native wildlife and vegetation. Learn about the Arboretum’s many trees with a focus on native species.

Our tour guide will discuss the benefits trees provide and the challenges they face within an urban environment! You’ll leave with a better understanding of the natural history of your community.

Develop your tree ID skills on a guided walk through The Pocket community. Learn about the importance of native species and common stresses found throughout the city. At the end of the day, take home a free native shrub (while supplies last)!
