“The lake is an important asset to this community and many people don’t realize the effect our landscaping practices can have on its health,” says Melissa Williams. “This tour brings together experts who will offer insight and advice on what residents can do to protect this wonderful resource.”

Participants will learn about threats to the local ecosystem, like the Emerald Ash Borer, an invasive beetle that kills ash trees. The tour will also showcase residential properties that have participated in planting programs that beautify the neighbourhood and help the environment.
