On Wednesday June 24, LEAF and partners hosted The Great Toronto Tree Hunt awards ceremony. It was the exciting culmination of the Hunt, which began on earth day (April 22nd) 2015.

LEAF mascot Barkley welcomed guests as they arrived.

Over 100 people joined us at the Toronto Archives to congratulate the finalists and celebrate the winners.

The first two awards were presented by Mary Desjardins, Executive Director of TD Friends of the Environment Foundation (FEF).  Mary presented the awards for Beauty and Uniqueness. TD FEF is the lead sponsor of the Great Toronto Tree Hunt.  We thanked them for their generous support of this initiative and for being a leader in supporting many other urban forest initiatives across the country.
