As the leaves turn and reach their end, so too must I. A little melodramatic? Perhaps. I was one of LEAF's Residential Planting Program Assistants for the past eight months, but now it is time for me to move on. As a way of saying adieu, I want to share a little bit about my experience with LEAF this year.

Today is GivingTuesday – a global day of giving. After the sales of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, GivingTuesday is a time to celebrate and encourage activities that support the work on non-profit organizations. Whether it's making a donation, volunteering your time or spreading the word, GivingTuesday is a movement for everyone who wants to give something back.

On a lovely October evening, the courtyard next to the Wychwood Barns twinkled with little lights and the wood-fired oven warmly rumbled. Home-made pizzas were being assembled by LEAF’s team of core volunteers and cooked to perfection by staff and board members.
